Lori Beth Blaney
Lori Beth resides in McDonough with her husband, Sam, and her two sons, Jake and Shane. Sharon Baptist is their church home. She founded Rachel's Gift in 2008 after an automobile wreck caused the death of her daughter, Rachel, with whom she was in her 8th month of pregnancy. Her passion is to assist other mothers through this often "silent grief" and to empower hospital staff to become more confident and comfortable caring for these patients during their time of crisis. She is most thankful for all of the others who have come alongside her to advocate and assist in many ways with this mission.
Krissy graduated from the University of South Florida. She is married to her love, Bob Coen and they have 2 children: Trevor and Emily. Krissy is the Marketing Director at Truett’s Grill in McDonough.
Sara Bishop was born and raised in metro Atlanta and currently resides in Covington with her husband and 3 children. She began as a dispatcher for the Rachel’s Gift Hotline in 2010 and now is Event Coordinator. She truly loves coordinating the Spring Auction every year to raise funds for Rachel’s Gift. She is involved in ministry at Bethany Baptist Church in McDonough and has a passion for sharing Christ’s love with others.
Jim has a business degree from Florida State University and has been a successful entrepreneur for most of his career. He is married to DonnaJo, and has two sons and four wonderful grandchildren.
Education/Facility & Growth/Development
Shona Jonson and her husband, David, own NEWSole Running in McDonough, Georgia. She has a passion for helping those who have experienced loss and those who help the grieving. The Jonson's know first hand the brokenness of loosing a child and the blessing others can be in this difficult time.
Shirley and her husband, Fred, reside in McDonough, Georgia. Fred is also an active volunteer for Rachel's Gift. They are devoted members of Bethany Baptist Church. They have 3 children and 4 grandchildren. In their spare time they enjoy fishing, camping and fun outdoors.
Jessica is an Atlanta native. She is currently enjoys "lake-living" with her husband William and three children. Jessica is a graduate of Presbyterian College and has a Bachelors of Science in Psychology. She has passionately been involved with Rachel's gift since it's inception, and her diverse talents have led her to many hands-on roles over the years. She has worked in everything from direct patient care to being the Race Coordinator of our annual Angel Dash, along with many other contributions along the way. Jessica likes to say that she didn't have to ask God where she should serve, she saw Him already at work at Rachel's Gift and joined Him.
